Yarmouth is made up of three major villages: South Yarmouth, West Yarmouth, and Yarmouth Port. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 28.2 square miles, of which 24.1 square miles  is land and 4.1 square miles, or 14.40%, is water. Yarmouth is bordered by Cape Cod Bay to the north, Dennis to the east, Nantucket Sound to the south, and Barnstable to the west. Yarmouth is approximately 75 miles southeast of Boston.
