MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE HOME YOU WILL BE MOVING TO
Unless this is a second home or investment property, you’ll need to be the “buyer” for a new home while simultaneously being the “seller” for your current one. If your goal is schedule both transactions to close at the same time, even though this can create some conflict, we'll be here to coordinate all the details. Remember, you need to be moved out before the pre-final walkthrough, at least 24 hours before the closing date when the new owners take possession.
Most agents show up for the final walkthrough an hour or two before closing. How much time does this give anyone to solve problems that may keep the buyers from moving forward? It is not always clear what stays and what goes & a pre-final walkthrough is our way of being properly prepared. When the buyers are present and ready to close, any impediment can create anxiety and doubt. That's the last thing you want hours before closing! This is why we schedule a pre- final walk-through before the buyer shows up, to guide you and ensure that the property being conveyed meets the expectations of all parties involved.
